Proposal: what it means for a creative studio.

A proposal is a document a studio sends a prospective client that sets out its understanding of the project, the proposed approach, the deliverables, the price and the terms.

What a proposal does

A proposal answers the question the client is really asking: why should we hire you for this, and what exactly will we get? It restates the goal in the client's own words, outlines the approach, lists the deliverables and timeline, gives the price, and states the terms such as deposit and revision rounds.

Proposal or quote?

A quote is mainly a price for a defined scope. A proposal also persuades: it shows understanding and approach. Small, clear jobs usually need only a quote. Larger or more strategic work, such as a rebrand or a full interior scheme, benefits from a proposal that shows how you will think about it.

Keeping proposals efficient

Reuse a structure, not the text. A consistent skeleton (understanding, approach, deliverables, timeline, fee, terms) makes proposals quick to write and easy to compare, while the content stays specific to the client. Send it quickly, since interest fades, and set a date to follow up. See our graphic design quote template for a layout.

Where Viznerve fits

Viznerve drafts the reply and a priced quote from the brief in your studio's voice, then keeps the follow-up loop moving until the client answers, always for your approval. See quotes and follow-ups. It does not replace the judgment in a persuasive proposal; it removes the blank page.
