Template

Interior design quote template, as a copyable outline.

A quote for a home is also a map of the project. This outline sets out the sections a client needs to read, with placeholders where your own rates and dates go.

How to use this template

Copy the outline below into your own document or email, then replace each bracketed placeholder with your details. Where the outline says "your rate", enter the figure you have decided on. Nothing here suggests what you should charge: pricing depends on your market, your experience and the project.

The structure does the work. A client reads the summary, checks that the rooms and deliverables match what they imagined, notices the exclusions, and reaches the terms knowing exactly what they are agreeing to.

Why each section is there

The room-by-room scope prevents the most common misunderstanding in residential work: a client assuming a hallway or bathroom is included. Listing rooms by name is more convincing than a general promise. The scope of work glossary entry explains why specifics beat summaries.

The revisions section names a number. Without one, feedback can continue indefinitely. See revision rounds. The exclusions list turns future arguments into a quick reference, and anything beyond it becomes a change order.

Before you send it

Check three things. First, that every figure and date is yours, since the outline contains none. Second, that the deposit and cancellation language matches your contract and has been reviewed for your jurisdiction; this page is not legal advice. Third, that you have a date to follow up if the client goes quiet.

Studios that win more of these tend to send them quickly. If drafting is the bottleneck, Viznerve for interior design studios reads the inquiry and prepares the reply and a draft quote for your review.

Common questions

Does this include prices?

No. Amounts are placeholders written as words, such as "your rate", so you set the figures.

Can I download it?

There is no file download. Use the Copy outline button and paste it into your own document or email.

Can Viznerve draft a quote like this for me?

Yes. Viznerve reads the inquiry and drafts the reply and a priced quote in your studio's voice, from the brief. You review and send; it never sends on its own by default. See quotes and follow-ups. The trial includes 150 credits for 14 days with no card.
